Bust A Move
- Lloyd and Rowan had previously recorded a version of Bust A Move in their one song musical project entitled ‘Knock, Knock. Who’s There? Zombies!’. This band name later inspired the hit Swound! track, ‘Knock, Knock’, which featured on the Punktastic compilation ’30 Seconds To Impact’.
- The only real difference between this album version and the demo is that the verse guitar parts were completely re-written.
- The intro riff was written after listening to the American ‘Krunk Rock’ band Family Force 5.
- The vocals in the breakdown were copied from numerous Korn (and some Disturbed) tracks. They aren’t supposed to be funny, just full of rage and angst.
- We contemplated changing the swearing in the chorus for months before deciding that the song would never sound the same without it.
- This song had two different vocal takes. The first was scrapped as it was recorded straight after Joe shredded his voice recording Living In A Box. It sounded shit.
- Our first music video was filmed for this song, although it was never released as a single. This was directed by Shaun Robert Smith and there are two different versions. In one, we get eaten by zombies, in the other, we party with them. This was a nod to Rowan and Lloyd’s original version of this song.
- The song features on the cover CD for Rock Sound Magazine’s November 2008 issue.
